In for a major heat wave this week in California. This weekend I will drive to the desert to pick up my 3.0 package. Will give the guy back half of his payment as mentioned earlier.

Yeah... they said on the news that it may get hot enough out there to be the hottest recorded heat wave of any place on earth... ever!

You all stay safe over there.

Death valley set a record last summer at 135..that record may be beat this week. Anza borrego is going to be 123, Yuma and phoenix are looking to be hotter.

I would think you folks should prepare at least a little bit in case the grid goes down or whatever else could happen.

Can a person even survive at 135 degrees? Seriously wouldn't you just die of heat stroke within minutes? :dunno:

This is why I prefer the northeast. You can wear extra clothes to survive in the cold. There's basically nothing you can do when its 135...

I could never live in Florida even. It's an all day long sweat fest for me in the summer.

When I go to Georgia they just live there lives differently. Everyone gets up when the sun comes up around 5am and does outside stuff until about 10-11am. Then everyone just goes inside because it's too unbearable outside with the heat, 110% humidity, and 38 different kinds of biting flies. Then after dinner you go back out for a couple hours in the evening before the mosquitoes start. Then run back inside before loosing all your blood. its just one long ever lasting game of avoid the horrors of living in the south...

Ill shovel snow thanks...

Come out here and you can play both games.

Hot/humid/buggy in the summer and you can still easily freeze to death in the winter, everybody gets their way!

I have lived in southern California my whole life, native actually... moving to northern California this fall. Dealt with all weather conditions in my life from living here. Have driven thru 45 states in my 94 ranger in the past. Do love the northeast, especially upstate NY...you guys can keep the rust belt. No rust issues here where I am at...my 94 has never had any rust on it ever.

Over the years there have been people who run in death valley...sun fried brains...sounds good with a cup of lemon water. I have driven thru death valley a few times in the past during the winter, very beautiful landscape.

Just the right size to touch the ground.
Y'all do realize that your body makes sweat to cool you off in the summer so you don't overheat. I don't recall it making fire in the winter so you don't freeze to death. LOL

It's a cool 92° degrees here right now and about 80% humidity. Real nice.

The argument that you can put on clothes in the winter to keep warm is kinda funny to me. I imagine everyone wobbling around like Weebles because they can barely move their joints. But they're warm...

We wear less clothes in the summer here and it's real easy to cool off when needed. Plenty of streams, lakes, gulf's, oceans, etc. Not to mention air conditioning.

I'm actually kinda glad that you good folks don't like the heat, it's crowded enough here already. :ROFLMAO:

Never put off ‘til tomorrow what you can put off indefinitely
You can walk naked outside in public almost anywhere and they’ll put you in a climate controlled environment and feed you too.

I haven’t tried it myself self…
