So... I don't want to plug up your thread with my problems... but I just want to follow up on these brackets.

They do sell the brackets and braces. They said there is a slight difference in the mounting points on their new style Elite rear bumper so I may have to drill a new hole or two. Brady is at a show this weekend and will call me Monday and get them on the way. They said $60 for the mount kit shipped... with steel prices and my time to make them... seems like a no brainer.

Yeah... I hawked those braced up brackets and braces out as soon as I saw the picture. Thanks for sharing your new stuff or I would have been working harder then I have to now.

Looking at them again... I would be surprised if I have to do anything to them. They kinda look like they will bolt right on.

I actually spoke the the owner of AOR today and he got me set up with a set of bumper brackets and braces and are in route to me and will be here Thursday. I sure don't mind spending money with these folks... they've always treated me right.

Bumper brackets and braces are $85 plus shipping.

@Uncle Gump that's awesome glad it worked out! Hopefully its not w/ USPS I ordered a heat only outer blower motor shell off of ebay almost 2 months ago and yet to see it.. Made it to Richmond but has been stuck there since 5/27... absolutely sickening.

It's coming UPS.

USPS somehow lost a dog crate I bought... it just vanished. They also were three or four weeks late on a roof rack I had coming... it did finally show up. Hopefully that housing shows up... they just don't make those any more.

I know..... I have been HUNTING for one and of course in VA there weren't a lot of them around less AC... so I called out west to junkyards, up north nothing... Found a guy w/ one in WA on Craigslist "Auto Parts" list had a whole 2wd truck less AC that said he would take it off his parts truck and send it then he stopped responding. Found it got all excited and have been drug out in misery now.

Not to mention out of $150 +

So finally, my heater box showed up. It is in excellent condition with no notable issues. @Uncle Gump thanks for the suggestions on possible leads but I am good to go. Took a couple of hours this morning to work on it. Applied new foam, blower motor and resistor. Also threw on a few other parts and cleaned up the casting in the new manifolds cause they were rough. Wanted to get the engine to at least a long block but forgot to get some assembly lube for the lifters... Also lower gearbox bolt is rusted away need a bolt and washer if anyone has one lying around and would like to make a few bucks!!??

@Uncle Gump I'm right there with you. More than happy to help anyone I can! If someone needs John Deere assistance I'm here hahahaha making my way through this project while trying to move/fix a house. It's fun but busy. Love days like today where I get some time to knock along on it.

I'm in the middle of moving too... the closing date seems to be a moving target at the fault of our buyer and their lawyer. So my wife likes things clean and organized... our house is anything but that for the last couple weeks and she is driving me absolutely crazy!

On the bright side... As soon as I get her settled into the new place... I start shopping for the forever home in Michigan. Then I get to move again! Then move her there in about three years! Then sell the house we just bought! Gonna be a crazy next few years...
