If deer meat is good enough for chickens, it's good enough for me!

They swarmed all over the backbone of a deer that I was 'parting out'..... one of my friends refers to them as 'yard piranhas' now

They chased the cat off of it! Picked it clean too. Mmmmm, deer-flavored eggs......

Lead follow or get out of my way
Tell her you'll compromise, and only eat animals that are vegetarians..... ;)
I give her two weeks... I'm all in.

There is an exit plan... but there will be changes to the normal diet we were consuming. The future has a freezer full of venison... some local caught fish... probably even some beef/pork from a local hobby farmer. Then a root cellar full of everything I grew in my garden. My goal is to move as far as possible from "FOOD Inc."

Saw one of them eat a snake once. It was quite the battle to get the snake down, and afterwards the chicken was walking around in the yard with beak half-open, swallowing again and again..... seems that the snake did NOT want to stay down.... but the next morning, the chicken was fine so I guess it won.

Friend of mine had bantams, he said they hunted in packs and when one of them saw a snake or the like, it would sound the alarm and they'd all swarm on it. Kinda jurrasic-park like, a little creepy.

I don’t think anyone is seriously working on the stupidity pandemic.
Remove all the warning labels the lawyers have imposed on us. That will solve a lot of it.

Most of our medical costs in this country are self-inflicted with our knives, forks, and spoons. Ain't no vaccine for that.......
You have clearly never tried my mother in law's cooking.

I grew up with food poisoning being a fairly regular occurrence.... I doubt she could do any worse.

Nor did my mother, apparently....

Ironically, one of the few things that she ever cooked that was actually decent, was a groundhog my dad shot out of a farmer's alfalfa field. It was pretty good! Although, thinking back, we didn't have much to compare it to.

When the smoke detector doubles as the dinner bell...... just sayin'.......
