I would like to get mine sooner than later but up here in Canada the "later" seems to be my schedule, July to Sept is what I am expecting
Same here. Since I just had it my doc says I'm safe from getting it again at least until the end of March, probably longer, but my state has the ability to botch everything, and we are certainly doing that with the vaccine roll out.

My credo
If you don't have time to do it right will you have time to do it over?
In NH people over 65 can start making appointments for a shot on the 22nd and vaccinations begin on the 26th. I'm glad they're doing it with appointments, the news has had stories about people in Florida waiting in line for hours because they don't understand the appointment process, I guess.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
Mom got her first vaccine shot Wednesday at the retirement community she lives in. I just saw in this mornings newspaper that I could register for the vaccine. So I just did that. I'm not 70 years old yet (thankfully?) So they will contact me to make an appointment when I'm eligible.

Got my second shot today. Handled very well here (NC). In and out is about 45 minutes. All done indoors and no line at all. You did have to have an appointment.

the wiffie had her second Pfizer last week. her and several others had reactions later.
mostly headaches, some had chills and shakes.
Tylenol straightened them out, everybody was OK the next day.
it was all arranged thru her employer, a health care facility in Ohio.

meanwhile, in Michigan, we've been frustrated at the inability to schedule vaccinations for her mother who's 90.

there is still hope for Michigan, the Gub'na finally allowed restaurants to open for indoor dining,,,,at 25% capacity.

About 8 hours after my post here I started having flu like symptoms. Hasn't been fun but I'll live.

I hope they are able to develop a shot for this that only takes one dose, like the regular flu.

It seems that people are starting to get the coronavirus for a second time meaning the virus evolves easily like a cold or flu.

Getting two shots a year for this plus a regular flu shot? Most people can’t be bothered to get a regular flu shot to begin with.

There are different strains. No surprise, it seems to be mutating like the flu and common cold and whatnot. So yeah.... new shot every year is what I'd expect. Maybe more often.

One of my friends got it twice, the only saving grace was that he said the second time was much less unpleasant than the first.

There's a name for those kind of people which I can't say on this forum.

People complain about the insane cost of medical care and prescription drugs in this country, but then also complain about not wanting to get FREE vaccines to prevent them from getting sick and needing those expensive drugs and treatments...

Seriously wtf... :icon_confused:

Most of our medical costs in this country are self-inflicted with our knives, forks, and spoons. Ain't no vaccine for that.......
