I took off the armrest to make an attempt at fixing the window roll-up mechanism.
Is that why the switch bezel is on the floor and not the door? (Hey, that rhymes)

Also, it's the blue and black wire in the door hinge area. It broke, that's why the window doesn't work.

The window will go through the motions, but the nylon gear is jumping teeth.

Leather wrapped steering wheel, don't see those often on a first gen (to be honest I don't think I ever have)

That dash pad... from the one side at least that is the stuff of legends. It ain't even cracked!

Looks like more headroom for the rear passengers and more cargo room

I don't know much about BII specific stuff in general, were they short on rear headroom? I did notice that a normal BII has a higher roof than a Ranger when I was parked next to lilpony on the trailride... took me 20 years to notice that.

I have only ever seen them on the factory dinky tires, I think a lift and bigger tires would really change the look and they could be a pretty cool expedition rig. The price on this one is pretty good I think for the condition... of course I don't have the $$ right now.
My 1986 STX has that red leather steering wheel on it. I don't have cruise though.

Only made for one year, 1986. Bronco ll was shipped to a company, Applied Concepts who did the conversion.
Don't think any accurate production # are available, but probably not many.
In 1986 Ford produced just under 120,000 Bronco ll...probably only a handful were converted. Depending on options, they ran 3-5 thousand $ over standard price, and in 1986 that was a lot of $.
There were also another conversion done by a company called Sherrod. They took a stock Bronco ll cut the rear roof off and made a removable convertible top for it, like a Jeep. Only a few hundred were made.

They exist very rare though. The plus is that additional foot of uselessness added to the back and 2 inches added to the top. They were short wheel based, and narrow, and lacking in power, couldn't imagine driving that thing down the highway, not only does it look hideous, I'm sure it made it even less fun to drive at high speeds. The only positive is the side windows are something that you could probably more easily replace if they got broke unlike the stock ones that curve at the top.

After much consideration.... "ugly as a mud fence" comes to mind. Like a toupee on a stripper......

:icon_rofl::icon_rofl::icon_rofl::icon_rofl::icon_rofl::icon_rofl::icon_rofl::icon_rofl::icon_rofl::icon_rofl::icon_rofl::icon_rofl:

But yeah it's so ugly I'd probably buy one if I could. What the hell....... the Bronco, that is!
