Hennessy Hammock or ENO are the ones to look at. There was one that someone posted about on facebook that I don't remember the brand but it had pretty good reviews from those who bought one on amazon.

Another one to throw into that mix is Warbonnet.

Honestly? It was by far the hardest trip I've done. There were a couple of moments where I got legitimately concerned for our safety. The first was during the exposed slog up Mt Washington in a 60mph sustained crosswind and significantly stronger gusts, and the second was the next morning on our way up Mt Monroe when we had to switch into crampons and ice axes mid way up a slope because it had gotten so windy and steep. One of our guys momentarily let go of a mitten and it was out of sight instantly. Three of the four ended up with minor frostnip. I was the only one that escaped that, but lost a bit of flesh from one of my feet due to an ill fitting boot to make up for it.

Sound like fun. Maybe next year we just come over beat you up and stick you in the freezer for an hour or two instead.

The weather was pretty decent for a while. Hovered around freezing the first two days. As we turned off Washington to descend we started getting hit with sleet and then about seven hours of steady rain, then it dropped to about 11 degrees overnight. Cold morning to pack up gear that was frozen solid - one of the pictures shows our tents after all the rain froze.

Yeah... I like camping when I can drive my truck to get ice. No need to be surrounded and sleeping on it that way.

Yeah, not a fan of the cold to begin with. Winter camping voluntarily would be a no go for me.

More my speed. I've done that when I was younger. Now, I need a sleeping pad. The bones are getting old and don't tolerate the hard ground as well as they did. Found that out with the last camping trip. The sleeping pads are either wearing out or I'm wearing out. Maybe both.

There's definitely a pad in there. Since I can't see it in the photo, I'll assume that was my trimmed down closed cell pad (one of the blue foam pads like you can grab at any Walmart). That trip was a couple of years ago in the Smokies.

I can't sleep without one either.

I have a 6 person tent from I think Walmart, it sleeps 2 comfortably, a dining canopy, folding table that's more for preparing food than eating on, Coleman stove, Weber Smokey Joe, and a queen-size air mattress with a battery operated air pump. I have two plastic storage bins that I keep the camping stuff in, one is cooking stuff and the other is tent setup stuff. That way I just take a quick inventory and everything is ready to go. The setup I had at the TRS 20th Anniversary. Used it this year (and last year) at the Carlisle Ford Nationals and we just got tickets for the September NASCAR race at Bristol and will use it again.
Nothing like crunchy percolator coffee outdoors first thing in the morning. Makes me feel like Grizzly Adams.
