If you do get rid of all the fancy bits... im calling dibs.
Haha word! Original plan is to keep the 2.9 as a stand-alone to show; but if things change I’ll be sure to let you know.

She (The Outlaw) got a simple green scrub bath today, interior and exterior of cab and fenders.
After a thorough drying I gave her a penetrol finish to to the exterior cab and fenders. I plan to remove the bed to access the fuel tank then clean and penetrol it as well as rust treat the frame in the near future.
Tomorrow will be cab seam sealing with white POR15 on the small existing trouble seam spots and any potential issue seams.

Ugh I hate the holes from the moon visor thing. At least you still have it and it's in good shape so you don't have to patch them. I hate when people drill or cut holes in the roof of anything, sunroofs especially.

Totally agree, take a look at what the previous owner’s dog crap visor thing did to my 99. I ended up cutting as much of the cancer out as possible, plugged it with a huge body drain plug, then sprayed a portion of the roof with bed liner. Truck is my daily beater so doesn’t bother me.

Got this response today from Kenny Brown Performance. I left names out...

Unfortunately, Kenny did not build this Ranger. He built two Ranger race trucks for the Saleen race team and they were both 4-cyclinder. Interesting truck thou! Cheers!

If it's indeed a High Rider as it appears to be, it's uncommon for sure... funny that mine and yours are both Georgia trucks.

I voted No, being a High Rider is uncommon but I am doubtful the Shotgun Customs thing makes it any more rare simply because there are a million custom shops out there that build 1 of 1 vehicles. It also appears to be a more or less stock High Rider, minus the bumpers, light bar and interior, with an additional appearance package. Curious to see what's up with the engine mods - it would almost be worth pulling the engine and tearing it down to see if it has had anything done to it for performance.

Don't take any of that the wrong way - it's a VERY cool truck and I hope you keep us posted as you dig into it!

No offense taken, I appreciate the responses and feedback more than anything. Its great to have good folks share their knowledge and experiences; definitely helps with the build and community vibe. Thanks for all the help!

I am gonna give the 2.9 an in depth look after its out, possibly next week. In terms of the overall build I may just keep posting here unless a kind moderator/admin can move Me over to a build thread board so I don’t have to re-type and upload what Was posted earlier. Thoughts?
