What did you guys do with the crossmember and pinion angle for a T5 I have the M5ODR2 in my truck and you dont really have to change anything for that. I couldn't find any clear answers in the tech section. I am waiting for a few things to come in the mail then Im gonna pull the motor so I can mock up the hydraulic clutch system a test it. I can do a lil write up on what I did. but I dont want to pull this motor again after this so any one have pictures and measurements that would be great.

Bird76mojo put a T5 in his... he doesn't have a build thread that I found.

Maybe search his posts... he usually documented most of the things he did to his truck in the forums somewhere.

Ok thanks I might have to do a build thread on this, So its in one place for 83-93 I believe the frames are the same for 2wd single cab regular beds.

That link I posted said he just used his 2.0L crossmember. Welded holes up ground flat and drilled proper holes. I'm not sure how much different in height the tail shafts are between the two transmissions... you think it's enough to affect pinion angle?

Anything is possible. I would rather be safe then sorry. Thats why im trying to get as much info as I can. My results could be drastically different from his truck. The mounts look similar from M5OD-R2 to T5 just position is most like different. Simple things are my favorite especially when im pressed for time.

I dont think bird is on here anymore. But if you raise the tail of the trans to gigh or low that will effect angle on the u joints. Some people claim there trans lines right up to the ranger crossmember no new holes required. I will have too see.

Get to it
i had the 2.9 v6 and auto. Crossmember almost lined up with my t5. Made a 1/4“ bracket and welded it To the crossmember. As far as the pinion angle it was pretty spot on from the get go.
