If you don't have time to do it right will you have time to do it over?
When China was admitting to about 100 deaths they started madly building 1000 bed hospitals, that doesn't add up for me. Now they have "quarantine squads" wearing hazmat suits taking people by force into custody for "treatment". I read that the virus came from a market that sold exotic animals for food selling pangolins, kind of a scaly, ant eater looking thing, and they're blaming it on "rich people" who like exotic delicacies. That sounds like they're working up an excuse for the communist party to crack down on people who have done well under their limited capitalism. They have"re education" camps to train/punish/brain wash dissidents, I wonder what their "treatment" facilities are.

^^^ I don't know how true this is but everyday on the news it seems like 50-100 more people die from this. Kinda reminds me of Oregon Trail back in the day when you're just riding your horse and covered wagon across country and then "little jimmy caught measles" then 10 minutes later "little jimmy has died" it's like WTF, little jimmy just got it... Seems like this is the same thing where people are dying faster than they can wrap their heads around it.

Man, it's even been reported on a cruise ship. The numbers are getting higher:

"The global casualty count from the coronavirus is already disconcerting. As of 5:07 p.m., Sunday, Hong Kong time, the official toll from Covid-19 worldwide stands at 71,223 confirmed cases (of which 70,445 are in mainland China) with 1,770 deaths (of which 1,765 are in mainland China). China's National Health Commission (NHC) reports 10,607 people have recovered from the disease."

I wonder if you would feel the same way if they put a quarantine facility in Red Deer...
They put one just on the other side of Omaha...

Joint base MDL is a designated Coronavirus quarantine zone... about 15 minutes from me.

The county health dept got a school bus about 2 years ago that they sent out to be retrofitted into an outbreak mobile triage center... or as we call it, the Ebola Bus.
They just got a second one about a month ago... We named this one the Coronavirus Bus.

A very close friend of mine died from the flu bug. Previous to that I thought it was basically like a heavy duty cold, which it is sort of. And I would hope that there was a quarantine facility in place.

My ex works in Alberta Health Services. There are plans in place and practical policies in place for just such epidemics....and in place for much worse types of events. This type of planning should be, and probably is, common place in all local and federal governments, including yours.

Again, as it sits now for the Americas, I think this is being overblown.

Health dept also has a cadaver trailer... it’s a 30’ refrigerated enclosed trailer complete with body bags.
They’re ready to clean up after an outbreak.

In and after WWI (1918-1920) the Spanish flu killed 40-100 million

I've heard the one "a lie gets half way around the world before the truth gets out of bed" and this one is spreading faster than they can track.
I suspect it's much farther along than we know or possibly even imagine, and have already considered wearing a mask in crowded places.

Also studied masks effectiveness and they've done tests but only includes up to the SARS outbreak last year
which basically concludes the best option masked or not is distance
