My credo
"220, 221, whatever it takes."
I heard that thing back in there. It sounded big and angry, sort of like a mastodon stuck in a tar pit. My copilot was hot and getting grumpy so I cut out when everybody was going back in there to observe that debacle.
At first I was like, "Somebody's having fun back there". Then after a while the sound didn't get any closer. Hmmm, yeah that's not a good sign. As I recall when I did see the Chevy the tires were pretty bald.

Bald tires come standard on every new GM vehicle. ??

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

Keep forgetting to post this. If you were there, there's a good chance you're in there.

Lots of ericbphoto's rig. Figured he was our resident photographer, so someone should probably get a couple shots of him.

Man what I wouldn't do to go back and get an entire album of him high-centered..

TRS SORP TRAIL RIDE 2019 STUCK VS NOT STUCK SCORE

2.9 stuck: 1
3.0 stuck: 1

The 2.9 remains not stuck to this day.

EDIT: Because the 2.9 has avoided sand.

Please tell me Eric was stuck more than once...

I seem to remember a 2.9 being stuck. Even had all four wheels on fairly flat ground...

If there hadn’t been a 5.0 (and another 2.9) around he might still be out there surviving on tree bark and pine cones.

I have that album.

The "stuck" was an issue of tire size and driving. 40's would have walked right through there. But, if I hadn't slipped off the top of those rocks, I would have made it. An automatic transmission would have allowed smoother operation and I probably would have stayed on my line - tires on top of the rocks.

I fixed the stuck count... Damnit.

Just to clear up any confusion, the ole wrangler was required twice to get Eric out of some hairy situations...

There should be some kind of a scale involved here too, you were not exactly rock crawling when you got stuck...
No, but I think we only had one 3.0 with us. There were two 2.9s...

I spent the day trying to find out what the truck can and can't do. It was a good learning/growing experience.
