:threadjacked:

Which reminds me. PO of my F350 actually did have the tires filled with something sand-like. Haven't had them changed yet, but why would there be something like sand in my tires??
It uses centrifugal force to balance the tire. They have these bags of what ever this material is and they have different weights to them per tire size.
Well first you throw the bag in the tire and then you mount and put it back on the truck. then drive it up to like 60mph with the wheel trying to rip out of your hands yanking and jerking, a list of every part that could be failing is running through your head, like truck is literally being ripped apart at the molecular level!!!!!......

Then finally just like David Carradine, Sweet sweet release......

I wasn’t intentionally looking for heavier tires. But these dick cepeks can handle a much heavier load than the duracraps I used to have on it.

I mounted the tires today. Must say I’m impressed. I’ll upload pics in a bit. But seriously added some much needed attitude to the truck.

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
They spelled Ranger wrong on the side of your truck.

must say. I’ve been super pleased with these tires. They are so much better when it’s slick out. Than the duratracs ever were.

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
I know you already bought your tire, but this needs to be said.

I will never own a Nitto tire again. The ones on my truck are 2.5 years old... since I bought the truck. (34 months according to the date stamp.) They're dry rotting between the tread blocks. They started cracking at about 18-20 months old. I'm trading this thing in, I've had enough of it.

Hopefully... they perform well in the snow. If they do... I will take my told you so moment.

I sure do like mine... I'm coming up on about 10k... I'm gonna rotate them again... and I am going to put a tread depth gauge on them. My lightweight Ranger shouldn't have hurt them to bad.

They are a far better tire then the previous DC Fun Country tires I ran in the 80's.

Break it right the first time. Fix it better the next time.

I am in the same boat. Mine are 2 1/2 years old and have around 10k on them with only half tread left. They started cracking around the same time as yours. It's a shame they charge some much for a low quality tire.
