I don't like the iclouds either, as far as I'm concerned if it goes to the cloud it might as well be painted on one and sent round and round and round the world. I don't really have much to hide, including money, but just never did like a snoop, and in today's society, they're as common as germs.
Things like CCleaner, that we used to could trust to "clean" our computers, has now become just another one of em. That example imparticular i was just tinkering with earlier, and about decided it's become bad as its former alternatives.
And Google? Good grief, China ain't got nothin on them, maybe Microsoft either, which is the main reason I don't like either of their products.
As far as the cell phone goes, it seems they're either Apple or Android, and guess who owns android? Google! Which is the main reason I use my phone mostly for a phone(quite a concept eh) hahaha

There is about to be another player in the market. They are totally privacy focused including hardwired switches to turn on/off the camera, microphone, and maybe something else. Price is reasonable. Check out Purism and their Librem5 phone;

That's pretty cool Allways, but it's getting close to the Apple phones, which I'd almost go for if it weren't for the price. I know they sell the cheap older versions starting around 2 or 3 hundred dollars at Wmart with about a $50 monthly prepaid AT&T card.

My biggest problem with phones where I live is signal, it's almost non-existent most times, even ATT is the best I've seen, and almost had to stand in the middle of the road with the phone towards the south to talk on it. Why I have a land line, that's about my only life-line if I get broke down or something

Yes, its not for everyone for sure. Its for those that are almost tinhat about privacy, which I am. I hate the idea that huge corporations are making trillions of dollars from our data and giving us more debt in exchange.

I like to take pictures of my feet and send them to other people.

I find it more entertaining when I use my sister's phone.

Does that count as photography as a hobby, or is that just being a pest?

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

Before the advent of the smart phone with passwords and biometric security I used to enjoy a game called "Its for you". Basically I just stole peoples' phones, dialed a random number from their contact list, and wait until it was ringing to give the phone back.

So yes.

I enjoy taking pictures just never carry a camera around when I should, and the past couple years I haven't done anything except go to work and come home so I've really slacked off on it. Sadly I bought a new camera last summer after my mom passed away and used it once during the funeral and have maybe taken 20-30 photos on it since then. Several years ago I had a couple of kids that I took care of and did thousands of pictures for their boy scout events, football games, so I have slacked A LOT lately.

I joined a local photography page on Facebook a while back and really haven't done anything there either LOL

That's one of the reasons that my phone has become my primary camera. It's ALWAYS with me.

Since my camera's always with me, I end up getting shots like this, on a whim.
