So for the ones going to Southington TRS TrailRide lets see what your planning to bring to wheel
Im curious to see how many hardcore wheelin rigs are going to be there vs the milder built trucks.

Im bringing Gilligan my 86 Bronco2

Mine is setup with a 5.0, locked d44,spooled 9",35s,Duff SAS long arm kit so im hoping to hook up with some other guys with more serious rigs to wheel with.

So post up what your bringin!

I have a v8, stickies, and tons. I'm under the impression that the terrain isn't all that crazy there

I'm planning to be there, assuming my engine isn't wrecked (still confirming the diagnosis). If so, it'll be pretty mild. 5.0, 8.8/31 limited slip out back, small lift, and 33's.

:worthless:

Hoping to have mine there but logistics are conspiring against me.

'85ish sort of thing, '95 D35 front, '87 5.0HO, M5ODR2, twin stick NP205, 31 spline Explorer 8.8 w/ limited slip 3.73 cogs all the way around and 31" MT's. Bunny slopes for me because it is darn near 1000 miles there and I need it to drive itself 1000 miles back home.

Depending on how things shake out we might just take the wife's car, I try to mooch a ride and wife can have the car to go shopping or something.

My credo
Give 'yer balls a tug. Fight me.
KaP will be there. Megasquirted 2.9, 2-3" lift, mismatched paint, and lots of cancer. ?

Light stuff for me as well. Really don't want to slide my cab off the frame, and like 85_Ranger, I have to drive this hoopdie home.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
I'm planning on being there. '93 Splash, 4X4, 3.0L, 5speed, 4.56 gears with Aussie lockers front and rear., Rear 8.8 31spline, 35" BFG's. Hoping to trailer it up there so I can get home if I break it.

That's bullshit. I'm tempted to help you get there. That's an awesome truck and it should be there. Can it drive there and you are just worried about breaking on the trail? What if I drive there with an empty trailer as an insurance policy instead of riding my bike? If you break, I get you home?

It won't leave if I don't have confidence in it, the "stock" trail doesn't look too bad on youtube. Thanks for the offer, I will keep you posted!

A Ranger in harbor is safe, but that's not what Rangers are built for.

Ha ha!

I'm down with whatever. I'd rather ride my bike and co-pilot with Ryan. But if I drive and pull a trailer and co-pilot with Ryan, it's not too bad either. It wouldn't be the first time I hauled a broken truck a few states out of the way. Oh, wait? One of them was Ryan's! Yes, I have been to Clarksville, TN. In case you were wondering.

I was trying to explain how I know you and used "Will hauled my Bronco II back to TN after it caught fire" as the lead

Most of the way through prepping the engine to pull. Hoping not to need any major engine work. With a bit of luck I'll have it on a stand this weekend for a closer inspection.

That has been my inspirational quote to quiet the voice in my head that tries to remind me in the 18.5 years I have had this junkyard dog it has never crossed a state line. Post V8 swap it has been pretty reliable, just a why take the Ranger to Omaha when the F-150 is nicer/roomier kind of a thing.

Roundup weekend will be 19 years almost to the day, I first got insurance on it 9/11/00 (I freaked out a year later when I saw that)

So far 40 miles into my shakedown cruise and it is going well. PTO cover (I think, hard to tell with new oil) is seeping on the t-case and I need to address a heat soak issue with the carb. And the cruise is still wonky, that is probably my biggest issue.

Lol. And ya'll make fun of my 2.9... I've had it three states out a few times. Have yet to be by a roadside. ??

I've been multiple states out on every Ranger engine I've owned. The only real letdown I've had is whatever mess is going on with the 5.0.

Haha, guess I should stipulated that mine was nowhere near roadworthy when I started.
