Today will be day 12 that my lawnmower hasn't run. Not because it won't start... but every time I have a chance to mow... it's raining. I'm off work today and thunder woke me up at about 3:30am... and the rain fell for about three hours. It looks like it is gonna clear out and just maybe I can mow.

I'll eat squash before I'd even touch an eggplant.

I have used a mower in the fall to grind up and mulch the remains of the garden before tilling. There. Now the gardening and mowing are officially tied together again.

I haven't mowed in over two weeks due to the dry weather here. No point in going out there just to create a dust storm.

I wish I could. Iowa corn crop is 40% behind being planted this year. Last I heard the average is 90%, I think we around 50% done.

I have up on corn for my field, going to soybeans if the weather works out. Right now my field is a tank trap.
