I have a 97 2.3 2wd model. I just replaced a lot of the AC components, since they were either old or leaking. I properly vacuumed and then charged the AC lines. I added 1lb 5oz of Freon, and 3oz of a Freon/oil mix. To me, it feels like the heater blend door is going bad. The actuator does work, I pulled it out and confirmed that. Is there an easy way to pull out the actual blend door itself and see if it’s stuck? I’m not pulling my dash, but I’m not opposed to cutting parts of the underside. Any help, or maybe something I’m missing, would be appreciated!
Edit: Should’ve clarified. I can hear my compressor engaging, for about 35 seconds, and then disengaging. My last ranger did the same thing, so I’m assuming that’s normal.
