Hey, I am currently in the middle of swapping a 3.0 v6 for my previous 3.0 v6. The motors are now exactly the same because I swapped some parts and no I am putting it back in. I have the engine on the engine mounts on the truck and the transmission almost hooked up but it has about an inch to go and its just not moving anywhere and this is my first time hooking a tranny up to a motor. I am looking for any tips, tricks, or anything that would help me join the transmission and the engine together. Thanks

My credo
Break it right the first time. Fix it better the next time.
Check to make sure your torque converter is seating all the way in. Turn it and push in at the same time. They slide back two or three times as the teeth slide onto the trans shaft.

Do that.

Then make sure that your studs are lined up to their holes in the flex plate properly, so it won't go in.
