A properly suspensioned Ranger can be safely airborne for up to 4 seconds at a time! =:O

If you're not making mistakes, you're not learning.
I have a rear D35 housing with the tubes cut off, and despite being a different shape than the TTB D35 housing, the bolt holes all line up! I'm not joking, this isn't something I've read somewhere, I've tried it in my own garage and seen it with my own eyes.

That being said, I can't say for certain if this holds true for the IFS D35, as I've never checked that one. But seeing as they never changed it from going from rear to front, and even changing the shape a bit, it might still be the same pattern.

I've suggested it before, but never saw an update, but get with some Jeep people. ONE of them, at the very least, should have some D35 parts around to GIVE you, especially something small like a cover. If it fits, then congratulations! Then you're free to order about whatever cover you wish pending clearances.

Or, you could go for broke and buy that one and find out :icon_thumby::beer:

Umm... it's the factory installed front diff, found on millions of 4WD Rangers since... 199?...

In fact, given its ubiquity in this application, one wonders why there's even a question, i.e. why no one is marketing their cover for Rangers, eh wot?

Ummmmmm. there has been 3 varieties of D35's in Rangers since 199??????? Correct? Which one are you referring to? Oh, sorry I just noticed you stated 98+ Rangers. In that case I don't care. Everybody knows you yank that crap out and put in portal'ed dana 80's, at the very least.

Regardless, the only Dana 35 worth discussing is the TTB, NON HYBRID, version, found mostly in 1991-1994 Explorers.

I ain't sayin', I'm just sayin'.

Wow dude, you sound like me today.

It's been a while since I worked on an SLA Ranger, but Ford does have a habit of placing the steering rack right in front of the front diff, so that it has to be removed to do anything. I would guess there is probably not enough room for that.
