My 06 Escape has a brake pedal "creak". It doesn't do it 100% of the time, but it's a little more frequent when the temp is hotter outside. My Wife says the brakes don't feel as good as they used to, although they feel fine to me.... but I drive a Fox Body Mustang, so dragging a stick out the window seems like good brakes to me.
In my research, it seems like a fairly common issue in newer Ford's, especially the 04+ F150's. However, I've seen a grand total of one person say they resolved the issue, and they achieved success by replacing everything; booster, master cylinder, and even the brake pedal assembly. Have any of you had customer complaints about this, and what was the issue?
Seeing as how this is the main grocery getter, I'd like to try and diagnose and fix it so everyone is safe. Any thoughts or suggestions would be welcomed!
