Installing auto door locks and auto windows pulled from a ranger, verified the window motors worked before install, but silly me forgot to verify the door locks worked >_<

Issue: both door lock actuators click but do not move the lock. Currently have it grounded and have a extra wire i'm using [fused] straight to the batt to test.

Bad actuators? any diagnosis I can do to verify?

Thx

Are they installed or you doing in free air, sometimes the rods can binned up in the door allow the actuator to move

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
You have 1 wire grounded and touch the other to power? Correct?

Switch the wires. Maybe you're trying to push the actuator toward the direction it already is. (IE... Your trying to unlock an already unlocked actuator.) They need power and ground reversed to reverse the direction.

im just using 2 wires to jump it currently, and i have tried both directions, same result....and when say, trying to lock when already locked, it makes no sound [assumed that was normal]

i have the cheap 10$ actuators from ebay in my truck and they have been working fine except my drivers door binds up, and this had lead to the death of the actuator
