so ive finally given up on my 1994 long bed 4cyl auto the trans has gone one too many times. my dad has found me a 1996 mazda b4000 4x4 5spd its a nice truck black looks pretty good but im weary about the mazda because im not sure how close it is to a ranger. ive been told that the ranger has heavier running gear ie. diffs trans and the ranger frame is heavyer but im not sure i like the little truck and know is has the same 4.0 ohv that we all know and love and it looks close enough to a ranger but what are the similarities and differences should i buy the mazda or spend the extra mone to buy an equivalent ranger in alberta they're about twice as much:icon_confused::icon_confused::icon_confused::icon_confused::icon_confused::icon_confused::icon_confused:

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
The Ranger and the Mazda are the same. The only differences are body panels.

If you're not making mistakes, you're not learning.
Exact same, just different logo's and a little different sheetmetal.

The Ranger's tail lights are flipped upside down and switched side to side.

The headlights more closely resemble that of an Explorers.

Wheel well arches area a bit different shape.

That's pretty much it.

No, they're not. they are a different design, not ranger lights flipped around or anything dumb like that.

I've parked next to them. Sure look the same to me.

Same exact truck dude. I personally like the look of the Mazda better. It's all preference.

The B4000 is the greatest thing since sliced bread. You can't compare it to the Ford Ranger ,the Mazda has Japanese technology and the 1994-1997 is the best looking.

They're as different as night and night.

I had a real Mazda pickup one time--a '92 or '93 B2600i. A lot different than a Ranger.
