Well thinking like you do, i sure hope nobody on here drives their truck around town with mud on it. That would make ranger owners look bad.

Yeah im the DUMB one.

I drive around with mud (and worse) stuck on my rigs, but my dollar is too important to me to send it up in smoke... besides causing unneccesary wear to my truck.

But then I have been accused of being a tightwad before too...

why are people complaining about what someone did with their truck! its their truck! getting mad because he should have put the tires on craigslist? i mean your welcome to free speech, but dont get mad because he wasted tires before he got new ones! and the op is not giving a bad name to ranger drivers by doing a burnout in an unused parking lot. like someone is going to drive by a ranger on the highway and try to swerve them off the road because they saw someone do a burnout in a similar vehicle. if you think he abused his truck a little bit.... he did, but its his!!!! you can post that!... just dont get angry!

I am not mad, I think it is stupid but I am not mad by any means over it.

Yeah, idk why he'd go and ruin tires that still probably had usable tread left on them... at least put them on craigslist or something, people are always looking for tires. Selling them for $25 is better than burning them off and wasting them.

You know, I did think about this, but these tires weren't safe. They were 6 years old and super sketchy in the wet. Chunks were missing from the tread and nobody in their right mind would mount them on their rig. One rear had a slow leak that was near the sidewall, so it couldn't be safely patched.

I let the guys at the tire store take care of them, if the fronts are worth saving (IMO they weren't), then some lucky teenager can put them on his truck.

I gotta give a shoutout to TreadWright because the replacement tires are fantastic so far.

To those saying abuse? You have your right to your own opinion. This truck is my workhorse. I only keep it around for utility work and fun, it's not exactly a daily driver. It's got 175k on the clock and runs like a top. I'm going to drive it until it doesn't drive anymore, which will likely be a long time as well as these Rangers are built.

And before anyone says something about the building, it's abandoned as many are around here. I wouldn't go leaving patches in the parking lot of a normal business.
