One more thing

I am going to put the new u-joint in my front axle what is the right way to do this? do you push one cap in than put the u-joint in than pess the other cap in? I dont want to mess it up I do appreciate all your help this is all a first time for me on this 4x4

I don't know if it's the 'right' way but I put the cross piece in, then one cap from the outside, then the other cap from the outside. Carefully squeeze together till the cross piece can't pop out from either cap, then finish pounding them together. Be really careful that a needle bearing doesn't fall over, if the caps don't go together fairly easily, then a needle has came loose, don't force it or you will buy another.
Good luck,

Richard
