using factory ranger 2.3 header for turbo

I am too lazy to search. Has anyone successfully used the factory ranger header as a turbo header?

I know the circle track guys all cut the 'ball' off the collector and clean it up and use it as a header, so what is preventing me from cutting off the flange and the collector, flipping the flange so the turbo is facing forward, and welding on a T3 inlet?



I figure this would flow better than a log.

Nothing, you can do all the above!! You might want to leave the header in stock location and mount the turbo down & low with the trans if there is room.

Not sure you'd want to do that since you might have oil drain issues if it's that low.

I think I am gonna try to either make or buy a new flange instead of cutting the old one off and grinding it flat/flipping it. We'll see how many headers I can I can find and practice on at the pull-a-part yard
