well, just changed my rotors, and now the front abs kicks on at about 5mph, and jerks the wheel hard and to the left. i know this is some sort of abs sensor problem, i though maybe the reluctor ring had something jammed in it, took it apart, nothing, the abs sensor was fine too. i dont know if the ring on the new rotor is too close, or far from the sensor... also the abs light DOES NOT come on. anyone ever have this problem? also, im wondering if it is most likely the left side is the problem? i have no idea which side is telling the abs it is locking up though? maybe a bad ring came on the new rotor? taking them apart and packing bearings is getting old and i dont have a second vehicle, so its getting old.

Can you actually hear/feel the abs pump kicking in? Did you buy cheapo rotors?

Since it pulls to the left, that side is still applying. Your problem is most likely on the right side, causing the abs to release the brake on that side which would make it pull left.

cool, thanks.... thats what i was thinking, i hate abs....

no, expensive as hell napa premium rotors. and yeah, i can feel the pump coming on.

Did you bleed the abs "pump"? may have air in there and it does not come out unless it is bled corectly, not sure on the rangers but many newer vehicles require a scan tool to command the abs brake bleeding, id look into that.

nah, its definatly something with the reluctor ring. i unplugged the sensor and it works fine without abs.... and there is no way air got into the abs unit. im pretty positive that i got a bad rotor, but im just gonna leave it without abs. thanks for the help though guys.
