I just swapped my front coils for F150 springs and was going to get some leafs of a exploder, but I was wondering if I could just use some F 150 leaf springs or are they too long, anybody know:icon_confused: Thanks:icon_thumby:

I believe they are too long and would require relocating the front leaf hangers like in the Chevy spring swap.
You're best bet is just some leaf helpers or longer shackles, autozone and pep boys sells lowering shackles for chebbys which work as lift shackles for us Fords.

Gotcha, I think I'll just get the exploder leafs and be done with it.

also f150 leafs are 3" wide, rbvs are 2.5" wide

f-150s at one time had 2.5in wide springs i believe. plus they would be stiff as crap get the sploders and if you need alittle more just put in a leaf from your ranger pack. also you can get belltech 6400s from amazon for 50 bucks and free shipping supposedly. the bushings may have rust welded themselves to the bolts so have fun i had to grind out one bolt.......lotsa fun.

Couldn't have been as bad as when I had to put leafs in my Nova. I had to chisel the nuts off the bolts.

All 4 of them.

on my 86 ranger i unbolted all of them

the right side came off awesome and the left back one. but the front left, naw.......then the parking brake was right there had to fight with that, the bracket and an angle grinder........PITA
