how do you remove the pinch bolt from a dana35??

just as the title states i am ready to remove the front chunk and can't for the lift of me figure out how to get this bolt out.

Take the nut off and you can grind the head of the bolt until it clears the radius arm or notch the radius arm.

DO NOT NOTCH the radius arm. It will create a point of stress. Unbolt your radius arm, and swing it out so that the head of the bolt is uncovered. Thats the easiest way. before putting it back together grind the head of the bolt so it will clear. Again...DO NOT notch your radius arm.

yea wicked bad idea or just take ur time with wrenches and maybe a big pipe to take it off if u can get them in there

well i got the pinch bolt out. my solution was to just cut the head off and then remove the bolt. i had plenty of room to do this as i had a dremel with a cut off wheel and i got a 5 inch lift under my truck. then i had the idea why not just go put all thread and use it in stead of another aggervating bolt. size and thread count on the original bolt was m12-1.75. my local bolt place charged me 15.99 for a two foot section of all thread and 88cent for two nuts. i got more all thread than needed but for future needs i got backup. i cut the all thread to the same lenght of the original bolt without the head on it. with this the all thread will slide right into the sweet spot and then put your nuts on and tighten. the new nut size went from 18mm to 19mm. i hope this will help someone else in the future as i thought it was a good solution. when buying the all thread get a good grade not the cheap stuff that will just streach and break.
