hey i just put a 3 inch lift kit on my truck and 30 inch tires do i need to recalibrate the speedometer now?

anytime you change the tire size from OEM. you need to recalibrate

easier to use the calculator in the library and just deduct that many mph from your speedometer when you are driving. lots cheaper too. just my $.02.

Hell for that matter, a GPS will work just as well.
