I went out this morning and started the truck and the truck was warming up just fine...heat seemed to work well...then when I got to work I parked and as soon as I parked the heat got all cold and has been that way ever since...

Any idea what the culprit could be here?

Check your coolant level.does your engine get to normal operting temp?

My guess is that some crap built up in your heater core for some time and it finally got so bad that the damn thing clogged up. Heres a useful link that shows a few ways to clean one.

Of course replacement is always an option too. And a much less dangerous one at that.:icon_cheers:

My wife's van did that and I replaced the thermostat and it worked fine after that.

According to the gauge in the dash yes it does...I am gonna check the upper hose when I go to the gym pretty soon and see if it is warm or not....will also check my coolant level...was fine before winter set in...perhaps there is a leak now.

Thanks I'll check it out...

I was thinking of doing that but I don't think that is the problem since my gauge is reading the same temperature it always has......but since it is so cheap to replace if I can't figure anything out I will give it a try
