trans modulator adjustment?

In order to FIRM up the shifts which way (in/out) should the allen head screw be turned at the trans vacuum modulator? A4LD.

87 auto , no od

what controls the OD shifting on 87 auto tranny? mine shifts fine 1 2 3, then 3rd lockup, but never goes into OD. any thoughts?

Jammed shift spring or misadjusted or stretched TV cable. That'd be my first guess. anything else I can think of would cause problems in other gears as well.
