'91-'94 Explorer w/ 6" of lift pictures

I dunno Joel, as weak as the A4LD is, if you drive it smartly they do well. Mine seems to be holding up well... and notorious for cooking automatic transmissions. Trick is, with an A4LD... when you start working it... use low range.

Yea I would like to swap to a M50D, but I want my wife to be able to drive it as well. She can't drive a 5 speed.

Forget that, "Loose the Grill". That's what makes them stand out. The stock explorer grill is too blaa.

I picked one of those grills up for Batman45's ranger. Once my bronco is done and out of my shop his ranger will be goin in and getting some major work done.

I don't like the explorer grille either. I like the chrome gen 2 ranger grille personally.

As for the A4LD, put a transgo shiftkit in it. It will thank you for it.

Mine is still going strong with 235,000kms with no rebuilds. I'm turning 36's with 4.56's as well. Shiftkit made a big difference, aswell as a flexalite trans cooler.

Yea the Transgo kit is on my mind.

Here is a couple more pictures of the white one. Anyone know what the black bag is for in the back?

Black bag is likely for the sunroof. The glass is prolly removable.

**** Mo, don't hesitate that thing looks to be in great shape and for the price you can't go wrong. Better get on it!! My tax return is going to be close to $7000 this year. For $1600 "I" would not hesitate on that thing. Good thing for you I'm still waiting for my return.

Great time to learn. My wife can't drive 5 speed very well either. She has sparked interest in learing how. Sucks for me as she wants to learn how to drive my vehicle.

My wife has no desire to learn. I wish she would though.

Yep, that thar bag be fer that thar sun roof. My "wish" is to find the head liner piece for the sun roof area. Those seem to be like finding the proverbial needle in a hay stack.

Sweet. Going to look at the Explorer up on Saturday. I got it him down to $1200!

Lucky Bastard! :icon_thumby: :icon_thumby: :icon_cheers:
Yea, no kidding. They guy told me it was repainted and all the body work done on it less than 2 years ago.

I am pumped!

Well I am up in arms now. I found a '94 Explorer Eddie Bauer that is about 1.5 hours closer to me than the white '93 above. The '94 has 10,000 less miles too boot. The '94 is black, so that is a plus over the white one.

Here is a couple pictures. I will post the others when I get them.

I would love to buy them both, fix up 1 and sell the other, but the wife (who is an accountant) says we don't have the funds right now; or maybe it was she wont let me have the funds!

Similar price?

It doesn't sound like you can go wrong with either one. Does the owner of the white one think you're all set to buy it?
