Could be, now that you mention it. I remember that Mitsubishi and Chrysler were in bed for quite a while. I don't remember Datsun doing any work with Dodge but that doesn't mean they didn't

Horrible wiring issues, up to and including fires. Harnesses of course are long obsolete. Hardly two trucks are wired the same for harnass swappage.

That would be asking for some shenanigans. Whole lot of ways sneaky ways to buy one hell of a rig for an insanely low price. Especially when the only proof you have of purchase price is the legal documentation of the sale.
