Good looking truck! Pick away.

Has anyone deciphered a way to run a lift spindle in a 2011 2wd? I saw something about unplugging the ABS? I have a torch 3 inch spacer lift but the ride is rough and bounces. I have the stock shocks and my lift guy thinks bilstein 5100s will help a lot so he putting those in next week but i use to have a 02 edge with lift spindle and it rode great. I would love a lift spindle for my 2011 in stead of spacers.

Although I'm a big proponent of bilstiens.. I probably wouldn't spend the money on them just yet.

Your experiencing crap ride quality because your 3" spacers have essentially removed all of the front suspensions available droop. The 'bouncing' is actually the truck being forced to rebound to the point of topping-out.. You're feeling the hard stop of the front shocks being extended 100%. Your lift guy.. ANY lift guy.. should know this.. and know that shocks won't fix it.

A spindle lift is absolutely the way to go for ride quality but unfortunately.. like you've been reading.. there aren't any spindle options that play well with the later 2wd's abs/trac/stability nanny systems. This annoyance is part of the reason I ditched my 2010 2wd a handful of years back.

You COULD always Install the spindles and ignore the dash lights they'll cause.. might not be able to get a sticker then though.

that all makes sense. Yes he was saying the stock shocks are too short and fully extending, so his recommendation was the bilsteins since they are made for a 3 inch lift

If you have a jack.. go jack up the front of your truck and see how much room there is between the upper control arms and the frame with everything hanging at full droop.

If I remember correctly.. there isn't a lot of room before the UCA would whack the frame, so the idea of using a longer shock really won't work.. probably just make things worse.

Ended up doing a one inch spacer and 5100s. Rides buttery smooth now.

1 inch is the way to go. That would look good in any driveway, welcome.
