my buddy used to work at ford back in the aerostar days and he said if you find a 4.0 longbed one, you can make a sweet drift van. he said they smoke the tires like nobody's business

Someone on here did one years ago as a family off-roader, I believe his name was “rulebreaker”. I don’t remember what engine or driveline setup but it seemed like it could work

Heeeeeeeres an idea...

Find one of those newer monte Carlos with the fwd v8.. drop the front end.. then hack up the rear floor of the van and transplant said monte bits into it... little work to the motor.. 400hp rear drive mid engined race van 🙂

It might wheelie..

Roadkill did something similar with a econoline pickup & the front end of a toronado/eldorado 455.

I knew him.....rode in it and checked it out back then. Last I knew he had like 12 daughters.....so. a bit busy.

The aerostar front setup has been used on rangers....similar fashion as the crown Vic and mustang 2 aftermarket stuff.....back when they were everywhere.....

My dad had an 87. Maroon. It's what I learned to drive in. I'll never forget him waking me up one snow day by throwing the keys at me and telling me to get ready, that I was gonna learn to drive on ice. He forced me to learn how to regain control of a spin out. I had fun.

The 87 A4LD usually did ok if you tightened all the pump bolts every year. His never failed to be a problem the day after the first snow.
