My credo
Crossed threads are tight threads.
I am still trying to fix/replace my rear glass. Found em on ebay but they are for '94 and up.

Would a 1994 ford ranger 4x4 extended cab rear window not fit a 1993 of the same specs?

It looks the same in the pic. I dont get why a '94 wouldnt fit a '93....was there a slight change in cab shape I never noticed?

As far as I know, the '93 and '94 bodies are identical, the only difference being side impact beams added inside the '94 doors.

All extended cab rear windows, sliding or not, are interchangeable, 1986 thru 2011(cab width changed in 1993 but not rear window size)
They are bolted in, in 2007 or 8 two more bolts were added but between existing bolts so just need to drill two more holes in cab frame

1998 and up regular cab rear windows are also interchangeable with extended cab, same bolt in style

1983-1997 regular cab rear windows are held in by a gasket not bolts, so they are only interchangeable with each other

Will one of these fit my '93 ext cab 4wd?

this needs to be a sticky.

the first one looks like my current backup for my 88 ranger....which will never seal because the roof is too wrinkled up.....but it mostly seals....and only leaks real bad if its raining hard....

The top one bolts right in; 8 bolts
The lower one, you would need to drill 2 holes (it is the later style). As per @RonD 's explanation and my historic installations. 10 bolt one combats water ingression slightly better (but more often it is the 3rd brake light that leaks).
All the Rangers which have stayed in the family have sliders.

My roof is in good shape....But yea the 3rd brake light does leak. It doesnt rain here much anyways. Also I avoid driving the ranger in the rain because she loves to hydroplane. Hey that rhymed.

I will probably get the one that bolts right in....even though its like a hundred bucks more.

Bump and conclusion: I was reffered a mobile glass guy by my buddys, they all live at a compound at which I was doing a welding job, so I had the guy meet me there. He brought a decent used oem carlite with decent condition tint and swapped it out while I worked...He took his time and did a good job. Price was great considering the convenience, glass and work quality. Nice Hispanic husband and wife combo in a decent little typical toyota mini work rig. I think its was like $450. I tipped him. The Ranger Gods blessed me with this and I am very happy with the results. It really took stress off my chest of busting it in the first place, being a negligent ranger abuser.

I have since sent him to a few of buddies as well, who were also very happy with the results.

Nice how someone who is honest, hard working and good at what he does and can still survive and thrive through word of mouth in todays world.
