Been looking around in a few places, but coming up with nothing...

Does anyone still make/sell the coilover conversion brackets for the torsion bar trucks?

Honestly I'll probably never use the kit I bought. If you can't find anyone selling them, we could most likely work something out.

Didn't know you had a set. Which ones do you have?

I bought one of me00stepside's kits a couple of years back right before he stopped selling them. It's never been opened but I can do that to get some photos later.

Edit - I was wrong. Digging through notes, I'll clarify later.

I think Ricks Rangerz is or is planning to sell them. The site is aimed towards lowered trucks, but coilover brackets would be the same.

Not sure if he still offers it, but it was the weld together components for the brackets.
Ah, yep, was talking to him today. I liked them, though they require the factory bumpstops to be cut. I was hoping to to snag a set of the me00stepside ones... iirc there's no cutting with them. I could be wrong about that though.

Let me know what you'd want to do... his are still available, so no worries if you don't want to part with them.

I'll check with them again... I think they had a 2wd setup... not sure if they have a 4wd one.

Edit: not available

Yeah I was going off memory, figured he would have had his feedback by now.

Thanks for posting about the Northpeak4x4 ones still being available.

I'm planning to put coilovers on my 99 eventually as well. I'll be removing/relocating the bumpstop anyway, almost necessary to go lower, so cutting isn't that a big deal. I'll be going more in the direction that Ricks brackets are meant for, but if he waits too long to put them out, I'll get whats available whern I'm ready.

Makes sense. I'm technically dropping 2 inches of lift out of mine, but I have my a arms maxed on #1 bars and lift keys at the moment.

Ever since doing the traction bars, the front end has become noticeably... bleh. So, coilovers seem like a good way to get rid of the torsion bar "bleh"

When I was building my lowered level II last fall he said that he sent out samples to a couple people to test and no-one ever got back to him on them or installed them so he wasn't interested in pursing making them anymore at that time. I asked to purchase a prototype set and he declined because of the issues he just had. So I just built them instead, which turned out to be super easy, and I have been daily driving the truck on them since.

The coilover conversion rides so good now, it is totally worth doing. The torsion bars defiantly give a very bland suspension feel.

I've been poking around with this idea, and it seems RicksRangerz has them available. Or at least, makes them on demand. His FB page is active.
