Ford Announced The 2024 Ford Ranger Today (5/10/23)

The availability of a V6 in the Ranger again has me intrigued. After things die down and hopefully we see a return to normalcy, I might be a buyer. I won't pay $70K for a Ranger, which is honestly what I expect we will see the Raptor marked up to.

OK so what I've seen and read so far the 2024 will only be available in crew cab and with the 5ft bed. I know that's a deal breaker for some of you. Hopefully they will introduce the crew and a 6ft and a super with a 6ft in the future but not in 2024.

Why does Ferd hate me?

I'm sorry, I can't hear this post over the MASSIVE Holset on the side of my 5.9...
Sorry about that.
NO ONE ANSWER THIS… WE DON’T WANT TO EXCEED THE FORUMS STORAGE CAPACITY.

Is that better?

It's not from Ford but every article I read says the same. Only crew cab with 5ft bed. It is 2 inches wider with 48 in between the wheel wells to accommodate plywood or drywall and such.

Build/price is available now and Ford is starting to take orders for it. My initial thoughts: I like it but not enough to run out and stand in line to place an order for one of the first units. As I say with every new vehicle, wait it out a year or two to give Ford a chance to get past the new model bugs. Also as the supply chain issues open up a bit more within the next few years (and probably another presidential administration comes in; but you didn't hear that from me ;)) prices will start to come down to a more reasonable level on new and used models.
Also I really wish they would offer the Super Cab/longer bed on the '24+ but that won't happen either. I noticed that prices are up on the base STX over 23 but as you move into the XLT prices are actually lower than current MY so I guess it all equals out. I priced out a Raptor but not seriously as that's not in the cards for me. I need my Ranger to be more of a daily driver/work truck not an overpriced toy. I won't pay $60k for a full-size truck let alone a smaller truck.

I'm gonna have to poke around later with build/price.

I'm certainly disappointed in no supercab option.

Kinda feels like I've been gut punched...

I should not have even looked at the build and price tool.

It's gonna have to get better before I'll be interested.

Pitiful

Thanks Ford...
