they show up on ebay all the time for a pretty decent price. i keep thinking about trying them but am not sure if they will actually make a difference for a stock truck, other than looking cool and maybe sounding cooler?

what is you guys thoughts on the subject?

my truck is 2wd and stick. i would lower it but its an edge so the dang torsion bars are that trouble. but i figure maybe i can make it more fun to drive by doing small engine mods?

I've got JBA's on my truck, but they were a part of a serious engine build and trans swap, so I can't comment on how much they impacted anything by themselves. I will say that I'm confidant that shorty headers on a small displacement V6 aren't going to be big gainers. And they're a fairly involved project (especially if exhaust manifold bolts break).

If you're currently stock, and looking for more oomph from the 3.Slow, I always suggest starting with a crank underdrive pulley and an e-fan conversion. The 10% underdrive pulleys sold by a member back in the day were dynod to add something like 7-8hp and 10-15 ft-lbs at the wheels. Adding the efan at the same time will free up some more power, while helping the engine get to redline faster, and improving fuel economy.

I have tried to find underdrive pulleys but only can find one from jegs or somewhere like that.

I have e-fan kit on my watch list on ebay.

Its not a particularly slow truck, just i like to mess with stuff and i cannot do the titan yet because its still got a year of warranty left

I think JET makes the only underdrive pulley you're likely to find anymore.

I think that was the manufacturer. I was hoping to find a compete used set but its not happened yet.

I have bigger plans for my truck so for now I ported the stock exhaust manifolds. (Along with heads and intake) I like it.

Underdrive pulleys and a electric fan sounds like a poor combination for reliability. And I see you live in Texas where it gets hot.
