Looks like I got a new motorcycle project

My brother called me last night and told me somebody stole my 86 XR350r that I’ve had since 1992 out of his garage in Northern Michigan sometime over the last month (they’ve been traveling). Said he already found me a replacement. An as of yet unknown year (judging by the pic it’s between ‘83 and ‘86) XL350r that I can get cheap because the engine and transmission need overhauled. Tomorrow he’s going to talk to the insurance company about it and the other bikes that were stolen.

Plans are a big bore and stroker kit to get it to 440cc (or maybe it’s 410) because the bike it’s replacing was fast AF…. It had a big bore, stroke, and cam kit we put in it to make it 400cc (396 actually) and with the hot cam i beat up on 500s and 2 strokers all day long with it out on trails.

Bummer, that's cool he's replacing it for you though.. thieves suck. Sounds like it's gonna spank when it's done

I have a '76 XL-360, I really liked it when I rode it.

Apples to potatoes comparison though, yours is totally different.
