Most of the time they simultaneously don't work. The fuses seem to be ok. Can anyone give some advice on what to check?

Here's what you're looking for. See the gap between the plastic and metal on the switch? If yours has this, it'll cause what you describe. You can replace it, or put a tie wrap around it (like in the picture), which is still working as a repair in my '84.

This is kind of common in these old trucks, so start there. If that's it, great. If not, at least that's eliminated as the problem.

Ignition switch check for sure.

There is a main power feed....usually a 8 or so gauge that is black with an orange stripe that goes from battery around to driver's side firewall. There usually is a spade connector along the driver's fender before firewall...if it's corroded or broken down there are power issues that trip the circuit breakers for the wipers sometimes.

Welcome to the site.

Just so you know... the maximum range of an excuse is ZERO!

Good luck with fix.

Thanks for the picture

It's all a frame of mind. lol

Did I forget to mention there is a wind chill of 5゚

YIKES! Go easy on pulling trim and poking around; old plastic is even more brittle when it's that cold.

Good luck, and welcome to TRS.

Thanks, I should have been more careful yesterday. I dropped a light weight aluminum pole and it broke my vinyl siding
