I have fluid leaking past the high pressure hose flang. Fluid is coming up between the metal hose and the nut. I have replaced the hose twice and it is still doing it. Could I have a bad box? It is an 88 B2

Are you sure you’re tightening it enough? The spec for the pressure hose to gear is 16-25 ft-lbs.

I make it pretty tight. I feel like I might round the fitting. But I will try it again. Thank you

There is an O ring that goes in there. Just put new ones in mine. Did you get it in there and did you get the old one out.

I didn't know there o rings. I will have to check my packaging. That would make alot of sence. I did get the o ring that goes into the pump

I just put new one on my old 85. The o rings were in the bag but easy to miss. If you still have your old pressure line check it out. It should still be on the end of it. Let us know how it goes.

Let’s take a step back from replacing the gear box. The o-ring goes on the high pressure hose to pump connection. Going to the gear box, we have the hoses and two tapered seats. The taper seats, if present and damaged (vs missing) are replaceable.

If we take the part number for the pressure seat and check rearcounter.com, green sales company has 66 of them.

If you want to replace the return seat, that can be found here:

I may have had the pressure and return seat part numbers flipped. Maybe 5/6” is supposed to be 5/16”—which would be the smaller, pressure hose.
