Salt kills both, need more of a "redshirt" for a daily driver.

Good first gens of either are hard to find around here.

Ya I really do like my gas miser accord for daily duty, but I hate driving it lol. And I guess the climate here is just real nice to vehicals, I can count 5 1st gen rangers not including mine plus at least 4 1st gen expos within 5 miles of me, and I know where my future 85 b2 is hiding, been under a car cover for 10 years they tried to sell it once and I looked at it however, I couldn't afford a project then. I drive buy it every weekend and think to myself one day lol.

Your letting the Mrs pick your daily? Dont get me worng i love my wide and respect her opinions but if its my daily driver my opinion matters more than hers since shes not the one driving it every day. It goes the same both ways though, trust me i would not have picked a pentastar jeep lol

Don’t have to do that! Just have a kid and suddenly a full 4-door truck instead of an extended cab doesn’t sound so bad.

If i was toting kids and dogs I’d pick up another full size suv for sure. Crew cabs aren’t that much bigger lol.

that's one of the reasons I went Ram over Chevy/GMC. The GM crew cabs are too small, Ford is a little better, but the Ram's size is fantastic.

I'm a little biased I guess. I like the look of the ford, the drivetrain of the GM, and the interior of the Ram.

Do yourself a favor. Stop by their house one day and leave a note in their mailbox. Tell them who you are and that if they are ever interested in selling it to please give you a call first, you would love to buy it. Maybe that would be the catalyst to get them to sell it. Worst that could happen is they say no. I know myself, if I were to ever sell my truck, I would rather see it go to someone who would appreciate it, than someone who will bodylift and mall-crawl it.

No no no that's not the way to do it. You gotta be more aggressive if you want someone to give up a vehicle they aren't ready to sell.
