I ended up getting that 4.6 f150. 3600$ not the worst truck ever. i drove it home runs great shifts good. And you arent flintstoneing it around town. Even has paint still on the frame.

Make sure you don't make something air tight that moisture would condense in but some kind of shield might be a good idea.

That 300 i6 truck i wanted that guy ruined by cutting the door panel out and installing 10in subs in the door with plywood. And it was cobbled together needed an alignment something bad. Just all around crap. Pretty let down on that if im honest

You were wise to pass on that one, if he used plywood in the doors there's no telling what else he hacked up.

Yeah it was like a 16yr old kid had it. Stickers all over it poorly tinted everything. Gas tank held up by ratchet straps ya know only the best. I drove it about 10min and couldn't get the 4x4 to work right...just no lol

Here, you'll need this...

For that price you might as well spring for the Ford one.

The cover is not super necessary. The issue with them was that they were originally placed right up against the frame. The dirt and crap that collects in there rots out the back of the module. The revised stand-off bolts pretty much eliminate that issue. Just coat the back of it in a good epoxy spray paint before installing it.
