I need a high torque starter for a 2.5 with high compression can only find one for 2.3

Which 2.3l? Technically the Ranger had 4 different 2.3l engines...
2.3l lima, 2.3l Perkins, 2.3l duratec, and 2.3l ecoboost.

If it’s for the Lima engine, that’s what the 2.5l is based off of.

They list for a wide range of 2.3 mainly late 80s to early to late 90s but nothing for the 2.5 whats the difference

1998-2001 2.5l SOHC is a Stroked 2.3l SOHC, so identical engine except for crank and connecting rods
Same pistons, block, and head
