Hello folks I have been a Ranger owner since February and registered because I couldn't find an answer to the problem I am currently having.

A little bit about myself

Hobbyist/do it yourselfer/can't afford to pay labor and Harbor Freight enabled my behavior
On my 99 Ranger with a 4.0 OHV and 4x4 I have:
- Rebuilt the transmission
- Changed head gasket
- Replaced rocker arms, push rods
- Forgot where a cable came from and bolted it on a ground point instead of the alternator

My hobbies include, but are not limited to:
- Amateur basket weaving
- *Edit: I like pina coladas
_ * Edit: and long walks in the rain
- Long walks on the beach
- Searching forums for hours looking for the answer to the newest problem I have with my POS cars
- My little pony
- Lying about my hobbies and interests

That thing saved me from pulling out the entire engine. I thought at first that the diesel rattle noise coming from my OHV was from the OHC version superceding the 1998 Explorer that didn't get installed in Rangers until '00. I almost pulled the engine to service cassettes that didn't exist! It is a great thing to have access to!
