As the title states, I am trying to swap a 95 351w into my lowered 87 Supercab 2wd, I have the DJM I beams 3/4 drop. I'm aware of the issue with the oil filter and headers but when I sit the engine between the frame the oil pan instantly hits the passenger I beam behind the cross member. Does anyone know a pan that would fit this application? I'm afraid if I go to a front sump I will make contact with the steering arms.

The pan I used is the one Ford Performance sells for fox 351 swaps, it's from an early 80's Crown Vic cruiser with a 351. I don't know what brand my dropped I beams are because they came with the 93 truck. I did have to add 3/8" or so spacers on top of the engine mounts to prevent the drag link from hitting the front drain plug on a full lock rt turn.

I was thinking I'm going to need to add at least 1/2" spacers on the engine mounts. I will look into that pan, thank you!

What motor mounts are you using?

Remember if you use rubber mounts they will sink a lil after you drive a lil.

I'm using regular mustang mounts, I also have mustang convertible mounts I was going to try but I'm pretty sure that's gonna lower the engine even more.

I used 4.0 mounts and plates. I think the convertible mounts will lower it also. But I could be mistaken. I would try some washers. If that doesn't work try the 4.0 mounts and plates.

I thought the convertible mounts were just a heavy duty version of the fox mounts. My truck came to me with some kind of adapters between the frame crossmember and what look to be late 60's Bronco 289 mounts and I reused them. I may end up switching to 4.0 mounts and plates.
