2021 Bronco = Spring board to the 2023 Ranger

It’s hard to tell from the photo but those look more like retractible steps than sliders. At least they don’t look like any sliders I’ve seen before.

I hope they keep the tire profile they have on the mule. I hate it when they put low profile tires with big rims on a 4x4.
Im sure they will offer the base model with a tire similar to the ranger, and the upper tier models will have the big tires as an option.

Here’s a zoomed in shot of where the roof and windshield meet:

Looks like a removable roof to me.

I do believe there was mention that a removable roof was planned. Maybe it will be some awesome t-tops, ala 1980's so the wind can blow through your mullet.

I think that is how 80's t-tops work...

Well I'm certainly not buying that peice of crap! Not with legitimate proof it actually exists... no sir I'm putting my money into the cyber truck.

They’re have been lots of people saying it will have a removable roof... this is just solid evidence.

I've been wondering how this is all going to play out. We all know that the 2019 Ranger was the global Ranger with some design changes for North America. We've also heard that the Bronco and Ranger will be built side by side, and that the Bronco will be based on the Ranger platform. What I've been curious about is what Ford will do when they redesign the Global Ranger, which is due for a redesign in 2021? Will we get a version of the that Ranger, or our own design like years past? Since it sounds like the Bronco and Ranger will share a platform, I guess I can see where the unveiling of the Ford Bronco will give insight in to the next Ranger. I've been wondering if the 2019-2020 (2021) Ranger might not end up being a unique and short term run.

This has been said to be the next Ford Ranger:

And I'm guessing the new Bronco will look similar to this:

36349

I've been looking for similarities. I expect the new Bronco will debut at the NAIAS in Detroit in June. I have to be in Ohio right after that. I'd love to be able to see the debut of it.

From what I’ve seen, the Ranger will get a redesign for 2022. It will be on the same platform as the Bronco and the VW Amarok.

Ya, I was about to edit my post and mention that the truck I posted could also be a joint venture between Ford and VW to provide VW with a truck.

I haven't been to the NAIAS in years... But I plan on a trip there in June for this one.

Those old vw trucks are going for insane prices. A guy I know who is big into vw sold his built turbo diesel truck for like 10k

Give yourself a couple days, for a car guy there is A LOT to take in.

I wish it wasn’t so far away, I would like to go again sometime.

Car& Driver Magazine just did an article on the Bronco and they said Doors and roof are removable, and are easier to remove than the Jeeps. Also mentioned CV axles up front. It had a few pics, looked a lot like the new FJ Cruiser thingy.

I do wish they would offer a hardtop option...
