New 2020 Ford Super Duty 7.3 Big Block Coming Out!

And I beat rusty... but nobody cared about my post. :bawling:

Thats cause you posted in the fullsize ford forum, which, by rights is the proper forum for it, but seein as how it sees no traffic there wasnt anyone AROUND to care :icon_thumby:

That being said, this 7.3L is the first thing to come down any automotive pipeline in many years to give me something to look forward to one day.

Cast iron, pushrods, over 400CI displacement, and no turbos or DI. Exactly what an engine should be.

Now if theyd only offer it with a big ol 650CFM 4bbl, factory 4sp with granny low, and a front mounted spare....id be in heaven.

But ill settle for what i can get.

You need a time machine, not a truck.

You settle? You would still complaint about something, probably wouldn't rust out enough to suit you or something. :icon_twisted:

I like rust. Makes a good built in excuse not to waste time/money washin the damn thing

He'd complain because he couldn't get it with an AM-only radio and 8-track deck.

And halogen head lights.:icon_rofl: No LEDs

It has variable valve timing. Complain about that lol.

How the heak does vvt work with pushrods? :icon_confused:

some sort of wizardry on the camshaft. Chevy has been doing it for a little while now too.

I won't use LED headlights. I might put them in the Ranger, but I don't drive it in the snow anymore unless I have to.

LEDs don't make enough heat to get snow off them. Not a big deal for you when you have to bust out the parka at 60*, but up here is it a real concern.

Same as it does on the 5.4 3V. It shifts the timing to get better scavenging, but doesn't do much for performance.

Honda v-tech is the best example of VVT. Hands down. My Corrolla has a 2.o vvt, but it is nothing compared to a Vtech Civic
