2006 Mazda B2300 The Silver Bullet

Had some fun taking rolling shots, really hard taking stable pics with a cellphone and one arm :P

And I really should have washed it first

And because DualSport

I have also decided that this fall(or sooner) I want to get rid of the coil spacers, the ride is just to harsh and they're just going to wear out my front end components fast. Instead I want 3" Spindles, then aal or blocks for the back and throw on some 31's and new front shocks(back will get done sooner since 3" will extend stock shocks a lot)next summer once my bfgs wear some more. I know i could go bigger but it's just a 2.3 and i don't want to regear it

As for which tires I have time to decide, the new all terrain ta ko2 looks very aggressive and I like the bfgoodrich solid white lettering, the goodyear duratracs also look very aggressive

30" tires with a 3" lift(Bodylift) doesn't look to bad and will be good enough till 31's

This is the look I want overall, I also want to get a shell, non rise, colour matched with windows for camping(make some kind of a bed in there for me and the gf) with a full on basket up there for more gear

Okay to actually make up a list I want to do at this point, in no specific order
Obviously some of these things might not happen but it's all goals

-31" Tires, Bfgoodrich all terrain ko2 or Goodyear Duratrac
-4" spindles to replace the coil spacers
-2" blocks to add to my 2" shackles, not a fan of level or rake
-Bilstein Shocks all the way around
-Silver non rise cap, with explorer rails, maybe a roof rack but idk yet
-Make a camping setup inside the cap, a bed covering half the box over the wheel well
-Bedline the box and touch up the back bumper/fenders
-Halo Spyder headlights
-Oem fogs with hids
-4 Hella 500 black magic lights mounted across the bumper with hids
-Limited slip diff or a locker
-Powerdome hood
-Tint windows, 35% sides, 5% back, 5% on the cap windows
-Pionner AVH-P3300Bt double din radio, dvd, navigation etc, $100 from a co worker
-Amp my door speakers, already have the amp
-Explorer full length center console
-Igge seat covers, black and grey colour, leather material
-Xlt door panels with map pockets
-Scangauge
-Cb radio
-Led lights in gauges, still green
-Command start for the nasty winter mornings

Well I might be getting this cap, no promises. It's a century, already colour matched, non rise with windows, everything i wanted!

Even the lock works

If I do get it i want to make it into a camping shell, with a bed over the wheel well with storage under the bed etc. It would have been nice for camping this weekend..

I hate tent camping in the rain, its the worst! Its why I have a trailer haha. Get that shell set up, and you will love it! My grandpa has his set up for camping, and if I didn't have to have the bed open 95% of the time, I would have it set up on mine. Makes camping much easier to set up IMO.

I'd love to get a little tent trailer but with my 2.3 my options are limited because weight, but maybe once I finish paying off my toys(truck and quad) i'd consider, the cap will probably be enough though

I'm with ya on the 2.3. Not much they can tow. I've been looking into building a tear drop trailer for mine, since the family's 30ft toy hauler is a beast to pull in the back country. All I really need is some place dry to sleep, thats 90% set up when I get there, and fits 2 people comfortably. You can easily make them for like $2000, and they can weigh 800-1000lbs if you do it with that in mind. But thats just because I need the bed open and cant use a cap.

Built a trailer for me and friend to haul our quads on, it's a 6.6' x 8'. It's pretty light weight which was key for my little 4 Cylinder(tow rating of 2250)

Best pictures of the finished product before my dad took it to his house, guess Rangers just run in the family

Only other plan is to mount an action packer to the tongue to keep all our straps etc

Did a little off roading today and had a good time, really really want a limited slip or locker already, the 1wd sucks, especially in sand!

My mind is defiantly set on 4" of lift and 9/10 31's, but I'm still looking at options, basically just need the best overall in sand, snow and ice, can last a decent while and not loud as hell, what do you guys recommend? Also keep price in mind

Can't remember if you have said it, but what gears are you running in the rear? Putting bigger tires without re-gearing makes the little 4cyl a dog my experience. Especially if you want to still be able to tow with it. Might want to look into swapping the rear axle for a higher ratio 8.8 ranger axle, easy bolt on swap, and you can get the limited slip you want with the new one. Or get it as a open diff and swap a lunchbox locker in for about $300. For 31's, I'd look for 4.10 gears. Gives my 4cyl plenty of pep and I can still comfortably drive 65 on the highway. I'm running 30's on mine with 4.10.

Also, I really like the falken Rocky Mountains/wild peak AT. My family has owned 3 sets. a set of 235's, 30's and 33's. They are usually a lot cheaper then the BFGoodrich AT's that are the same size. Off road they work pretty good for my 2wd. I didn't have more then 3-4 inches at a time of snow last winter (weird year for us), so not sure how well they work in snow on a ranger, but my Dads full size chevy has had them for a few years, and has no problem in the snow with them.

Mine has 4:10 7.5, I'd really like to swap to an 8.8 with lsd though

Ordered leds for my cluster, hvac, headlight switch and burnt out 3rd brake light, a sivler hvac panel, should have got the darker grey but whatever, possibly getting a full length console(waiting on pics). a solid non sliding window(looks sick with a 5% tint) and almost got an axle, it was a 8.8 with limited slip but 3:73 gears

Just waiting for my stuff to come in, didn't wash the truck but the weather has been super nice lately and the sun was coming down so I thought why not do a photo shoot!

Cleaned up my interior today, added the second sun visor to the passenger side, apparently I never grabbed the clip for the driver side from the junkyard or I just lost it I'm not sure. Loaded my tool box with all my winter gear, jumper cables, extension cords for plugging in at night/work, blankets and boots etc. Also been thinking about just getting actual winter tires next fall and some pro comp series series 97 rims, it would be nice having the maximum traction possible and safety plus save my rims that I still really love. Doesn't seem like there is a lot of options for 31s in a winter tire but I've seen a few, any advice on what to get would be nice

Hvac came in last night, one of the bulbs is burnt out and sadly I didn't think that ford/mazda used different bulbs over the years so my 2 of leds coming in won't work for this, my bad

Got leds in my hvac, they're insanely bright, also finally have lights for my headlight switch and third brake light, the new problem is after swapping my clustor bulbs its insanely dark, the only spot with even decent at best is by the 20mph and 110mph(inner speedo because canada eh), also my left turn signal light won't come on(switched lights multiple times) and my dimmer dial has almost zero effect now so any help would be nice
