2006 Mazda B2300 The Silver Bullet

After the long await my shackles are finally in! And i could not be more happy, not to much rake but no ghost trailer

Took absolutely forever do to the salty roads up here in Canada

Also got my ohc lights working, switches don't function yet but considering I'm only 3/5 of the lights it's super bright

Now I'm not sure what's next besides shocks, probably tint or the westin light bar with some hellas. What do you guys think

Hey, cool build so far.
You asked for suggestions, heres mine:

1) Your truck looks to have a torsion bar front suspension. You could gain some lift by cranking the T-bars. Don't go overboard but you could probably level it out that way. ( http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/TorsionBar.shtml )

2) Change the rear axle. You should have a 7.5" under there. Look for an 8.8" out of a Ranger FX4 or an Explorer. The Ranger axle will bolt right in, the Explorer one will need some modifications to bolt up. The Explorer axle is significantly better and 95 & later ones have disc brakes. Most come standard with 3.73's and limited slip too. ( http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/Explorer8_8.shtml )

You're doing really good with your rig so far. Keep up the good work. :icon_thumby:

Thnaks man! Nice to know people are actually looking at my mazda :D

Sadly i don't have t-bars, i got coils(hence my coil spacers), for a while i was level with just the spacers but i actually really hated it since if i put anything in the box i would have pre runner lean

As for the axles I've defiantly thought about it, the only way I would swap is if it was 8.8 with 4:10s, limited slip and had discs haha, No way I'm stepping down to 3:73s

But I'll probably just get a locker for my 7.5

My bad. I totally missed the point of coil spacers. ;brownbag;

Updates
-Bought a quad so my plans for tint, shocks etc have once again slowed down

-Got a new phone with a better camera

Bedlined my rockers and around the lip of my fenders. Didn't turn out perfect but i can touch that up another day :)

When i say i messed up...

Also did the top of my tailgate that was covered in tape

Also I sprayed my B2300 Emblems in a satin black(not plasti dip like i was originally was going to ;) )

Straigten and bed lined both front and back bumpers

My new class 3 hitch

So I've been thinking about adding lights lately and just want some opinions

My original plan was a western bull bar with 2 hellas on it but now idk, just the way it mounts looks so low, defeats the purpose of the 2" lift i did
But that roof rack..

Second idea is hellas mounted directly to the bumper. Now I've seen people mount them to a bar behind the grill and directly to the bumper, what would be best?

I like the look of 4 like this

I have also considered doing an hid conversion to them but my friend said they could get to hot and melt them

Anyone with suggestions/ideas etc would be great

Nice build so far man! Looks good!

What kind of bed liner did you use on your rockers and fenders?

I like the look of those 4 lights on the red ranger.. IMO the western bull bar looks kinda cheesy.

Thanks!
I used duplicour spray on, honestly so far im not liking it, i need to go over it better and heavier with better sanding again this fall

Yea im really liking the 4 on it, thinking about the hella black magic, might match my all black trim look

That's too bad.. I was thinking about doing that to mine but wasn't sure about the DIY stuff.

4 Black magics would look pretty sweet. Or if you like that roof rack, a basket with a light bar would be pretty rad.

Scratch that, a basket on a single cab looks kinda funky..

Honestly i think i just didn't sand good enough and spray enough, supposed to do 3-4 coats and i did 3 light, so me and my dad will redo and if it still doesn't hold I'll get it line x

I do really like the roof rails problem is there $$$$$$ and a reg cab with a basket can look weird unless the basket sits really low and high mpg. But maybe one day I'll do that with a light bar or something!

lots of pros and cons haha

Good to know, thanks for the tip!

Too many choices lol. Good luck with the build man, keep it comin!

I've seen a few reg cab look good but besides the blue one you sent never rangers, so who knows, i might just experiment with the rails from an explorer, every bit of extra storage is nice for camping and when i have my quad in the box

And thank you
