Remove oil pan in truck?

Is it possible to remove the oil pan from a 2.9l while it's still in the truck? It looks possible, but want to be sure. It's a 1990 2.9L 2WD.

The answer to the question you asked is yes.

The answer to the question you should have asked is, not it's not really worth doing it that way.
 
Since it's a 2WD, would it require moving cross members or suspension parts?

Ok, let me rephrase my original post.


Save your self a lot of trouble and headache and just take the engine the whole way out.

If you don't have the equipment to take the engine out you don't have the equipment to take the engine out in the truck anyway.
